Rather than create a Twitter thread this year, I thought it best to collate my Grammy Awards 2022 predictions here where I have written thousands of words about this award show before. There’s some commentary with some of the categories, but don’t be expecting much of this to be at all accurate, my track record …
40) Barefoot in the Park (Feat. ROSALÍA) – James Blake On an album full of hip hop influenced electronic sounds, Barefoot in the Park truly stands out. It’s so emotive and Blake hasn’t sounded this intensely engaging in years. ROSALÍA sounds incredible here too and their voices blend together in ways you’d never expect. A … Continue reading
There’s just over 24 hours to go until the nominations for the Grammy Awards 2020 are revealed and I’m finally going to nail down my final predictions for the biggest award of the night. Last year saw the most worthy winner in recent memory win, Golden Hour not only being one of the best albums of that year but of the decade. This year is full of fresh talent, who I think could take up most of the spots here ahead of more typical Grammy stars. Continue reading
There are literally just hours to go until the Grammy Awards 2020 nominations are announced, so I’ll attempt to keep this round of Song of the Year short (That will never happen).
There’s a fair bit of crossover between ROTY and SOTY in my choices, but this is hardly surprising. Continue reading
Last year saw the same song take home both Record and Song of the Year at the Grammys. It was too hard to ignore the cultural and commercial significance of a song like This Is America for voters, but this year there isn’t an equivalent favourite. Last year I incorrectly predicted that Album of the Year nominee H.E.R. would win Best New Artist in an interestingly diverse category that didn’t have the biggest breakout stars of the year even in contention. This year surely will, I think that there’s 4 or 5 names here that would easily win in any other … Continue reading

I’m kicking this year’s Grammy Nomination Predictions with Pop, where some of the biggest hits of the year will be vying for the few spaces available in the nominations here. Continue reading
You’ll notice that I’ve titled this article Not Even Close to a Halftime Report. I’ve attempted to do this sort of piece here on my blog around 6 months into the eligibility period to give a clear picture of how things are looking so soon after the previous Grammy night. This year I’m writing this … Continue reading
The final of the big 4 categories, Album of the Year contains some of the best music of the last 12 months, as well as a Post Malone album. Who deserves to win? Continue reading
The categories that seemed to ‘benefit’ the least from the expansions of nominees from 5 to 8 this year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year remain, for the most part, quite predictable. All but one of the nominees were top 10 hits on the Hot 100, but there were still a few … Continue reading
