Featuring the likes of Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Jessie Ware and The 1975. Here are my top 40 songs of 2020.
Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish all wrote some songs that are now nominated for a Grammy. Here’s who I think will win. Continue reading
Who do I think will be following on from Childish Gambino last year to win Record of the Year at the Grammy Awards 2020? Including songs from Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Bon Iver and Lizzo. Continue reading
I don’t need to tell you that some brilliant albums were released in the 2010s. The word Landmark, or Important seems to have been used for some many full length records released. I have collated a list of my top 40 songs of every year since 2010. That means 400 songs sit in a playlist of my ‘Best of the Decade’. There’s a fair bit of crossover between ROTY and SOTY in my choices, but this is hardly surprising. Continue reading
Last year saw the same song take home both Record and Song of the Year at the Grammys. It was too hard to ignore the cultural and commercial significance of a song like This Is America for voters, but this year there isn’t an equivalent favourite. There’s just days to go until nominations are revealed, but for me the set of hits I expect to be in contention could result in a number of potential winners. Continue reading
Last year I incorrectly predicted that Album of the Year nominee H.E.R. would win Best New Artist in an interestingly diverse category that didn’t have the biggest breakout stars of the year even in contention. This year surely will, I think that there’s 4 or 5 names here that would easily win in any other … Continue reading
