It’s the biggest award of the night and often becomes the most memorable moment of any Grammys telecast. Moments like Arcade Fire taking a surprise win here, or Adele’s reluctance to even accept the award over Beyonce last year have been some of the most memorable times for me. This year is one of the strongest sets of albums in recent memory, with not a single dud in sight. Could it be one of the tightest Album of the Year races in Grammy history? Let’s take a look at the nominees and then see just how deserving each of these albums are in depth. Continue reading

Grammy Awards 2018: Who deserves to win Song of the Year
It was always typical of the Grammy Awards that when considering the Record of the Year and Song of the Year contenders to draw similar conclusions between the near identical lists for the track categories. Every few years though we see two very different lists of songs in each category, ideally proving the difference between a big hit and a well written song. This year sees just one song appear in both categories, with two other artists submitted different tracks for Record than they did here. Only one can win on the night, will it be the same as I predicted for Record? Continue reading
Grammy Awards 2018: Who should win Best New Artist?
2018 is one of the few year’s in recent memory when Best New Artist has been a pretty obvious collection of acts. Everyone here has garnered a nomination in at least one other category this year and with so much crossover between acts it’s a very difficult one to predict. Continue reading

Grammy Awards 2018: Nomination Predictions – Country
Always the most frustrating genre to predict for the Grammy Awards thanks to the bafflingly long build up time most Country records have on radio. There’s a song that has only just reached #1 on the Country Airplay chart, but was released BEFORE the eligibility period for the 2018 Grammy Awards. Despite this, there are … Continue reading
Grammy Awards 2018: Nomination Predictions – Song of the Year
Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga make up just some of the previous nominees who could be in for another Song of the Year nomination in 2018. There are a lot of potential tracks here, but I attempt to break down the chances of each, while throwing in a few curve-balls who could sneak in when nominations are announced in November. Continue reading
Grammy Awards 2018: Nomination Predictions – Pop
The question in the Pop categories at the Grammy Awards is always one of eligibility. Which songs and albums will be submitted into genre specific categories when you have the likes of The Weeknd, DJ Khaled and Calvin Harris edging the lines into the pop categories, a factor that’s even more prevalent in 2017 with a … Continue reading

Another year, another set of Grammy Award nominees to predict and just days after the eligibility period ended, the 2018 show is looking increasingly wide open for potential nominees. I’m taking a look at the toughest category first, for Best New Artist. Continue reading
