I’ve been itching to write another one of these ‘put a bunch of top 40 singles from an act in a list of favourites and call it definitive’ type articles for a while now. Since I’m heading off to Liverpool next week to see Take That perform for the 5th(!) time, the band that shaped my early childhood seems like the perfect artist to rank this time around.

I woke up this morning and decided to listen to a Madonna album. A few ill-judged tweets later I had decided to attempt to listen to all 13 of Madonna’s studio albums. Of course this led me to thinking about ranking said albums and of course the initial set of tweets I was going to send have evolved into a full article.
As Carrie Underwood releases her first Greatest Hits collection, I take a look at my personal favourite songs from the album and try to make some sort of definitive ranking.
