Saying that the opening 5 tracks of Heal is a Tour De Force feels like an understatement. No album in 2012 has opened this strong, with 4 massive eurodance stompers, including Eurovision winner Euphoria, and the subtle brilliance of Everytime between. There’s a continuous driving force here and while she loses steam near the end, Loreen keeps the listener guessing with darker tracks like Sidewalk and Sober. The production is vast, thundering synth and drum machines mixing with Loreen’s striking vocals to great effect. Heal is a dark, inventive take on Eurodance that forces Loreen into view, I’m hardly complaining.
