This blog series has gone on much longer than I first anticipated, with posts reaching a ridiculous length from the get go. To most people who have read anything on my blog or any of the countless tweets in the last few years it would appear that my main passions lie in TV and more obviously music. I do talk about music more than anything else, whether that be me complaining about artists I dislike or writing pages of adoration for the ones I love. All of that aside though, here we are at the end of the toughest list I’ve ever had to decide upon, and one that contains 25 games that in some way or another have shaped my life. No matter how overwhelmed I am by a piece of music, or how upset I get at a season finale of a TV show, I expect nothing will affect me in the way that the top few games in this list have. My number 1 choice especially being so far out from everything else that I’m not sure I could function if something were to surpass it.
I’ve used a stupid amount of hyperbole, and described far too many things as perfect, but hopefully I’ve conveyed my feelings on the best gaming experiences of my life in a way that makes sense. I’m so used to being critical of games when writing, it feels nice to be able to take a step back and just allow the feelings to emerge rather than over analyse. I love my lists, and while I know this one will consistently change like all of the others, these games will always hold a special place in my collection.
Here are my top 10 Games: (Full list can be seen by clicking Best Game on the tab above)
